Why are you only doing the ESV translation?

As we're starting I've wanted to keep things simple, and for now stick with one translation. My plan is to slowly introduce more translations as we move forward.

How does the personalised engraving work?

When you select this option, for an extra $10 we will engrave a text onto the bottom right of the front cover of your bible. Most people add their own name or the name of the person they are gifting it to but you can add anything up to 150 characters. Once you have added it to the cart, in the cart section there is a field where you can write what you would like engraved. 

Can you rebind my bible?

At this stage no. We are at a proof of concept stage where we are wanting to keep everything nice and simple but if we get lots of support we will look to introduce this as well as different translations.

Are they really bound by hand?

Yes, it's an involved process to strengthen the spine, add ribbons, headbands, mull, round the leather edges etc etc. Click here to learn more of our process

Do you use bonded leather?

No we do not use bonded leather in our bibles. Bonded leather is a product with is formulated from as little as 10% scrap leather and the rest is a glue / binder with a fabric backing. As such it is not very durable and will not last very long. All our leather is genuine, high quality and will last forever if it is looked after.
